PFTS #1 "The Dynamic Duo" Info/Sign In

What: The first event in the Paddle-Fishing.Com Tournament Series (PFTS) will be the "Dynamic Duo".

Please read in its entirety, most questions are answered here.

When: Saturday, September 11th.

Where: Southshore of Tampa Bay, see attached map of boundaries.

As in all of the events, you can fish anywhere. You are only limited to where you can launch and take out. You must launch and take out within the red boundary as indicated in the boundary map.

Time:Sign in will be from 6:15 to 6:45 in the parking lot of the Southside Baptist Church of Sun City, 4208 US Highway 41, Sun City Center, FL. The Church is located 1/2 mile south of Cockroach Bay Blvd on the east side of the road. Appx. 4238 US 41 South, Ruskin, Florida. There is a large parking lot with street lights, hard to miss. After 6:45 sign in will be closed.

Launch time/Start fishing time- 6:45. You cannot launch or start fishing until 6:45. Anyone who is found launching or fishing before 6:45 will be disqualified.

Format: In this event you will be allowed to bring two rods, only two. You will be allowed to bring two lures, only two. A jighead with a soft plastic is one lure, a bag of 8 soft plastics is 8 lures. There can be no other lures on/in your kayak. If found with more than two lures/two rods you will be disqualifed. You can bring extra leader material but the lb. strength test of that leader must remain the same as when you launched.

Cost:
$10 Entry Fee
$10 One time fee for participation in the Season Long Pot
$15 One time fee donated to Paddle-Fishing.com.

Total-$35 if participating in the season long pot, $25 if not participating. Exact change is greatly appreciated.

Weigh in starts at 1:30 and will end at 2:30. Any angler arriving after 2:30 will be disqualified.

Please sign in if you are going to attend. Please indicate when you sign in if you are going to use a fly rod for this event. If we have enough participation we will have a seperate fly division.

Please keep this thread on track. Any info posted that is not relevant to PFTS #1 as far as signing in or asking relevant questions will be deleted with no notification.

You can bring two of the same lures if you would like. You can also use "gulp" type baits in this tournament, but you can only bring one.

could you bring a duplicate of your lure. For instance, First cast a mackerel takes your junk and swims away with your lure. Second cast the same thing happens. Now you have only fished for 30 minutes. Call it quits or tie on a duplicate?
