River fishin

Post by DaveR »

Had a nice morning out on the river with Gibby. While Steve slammed the river with redfish, snook, and bass, I made up for the lack of redfish with half a dozen nice snook to 31". There were plenty of gar to be caught too which can be some fun if you stay away from those teeth!

Most of the snook were caught on jigs with a few being caught on Shad Raps.

Great job. Looks like fun. I have to get my butt down there and hit that river soon.
Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.

Nice job guys. The Snook are solid and in great shape on the river. It doesn't look like the winter has had much effect on them there.
The place kind of becomes addictive.

Nice guys! Snook look very healthy... thank God for a fairly mild winter.

I can tell you the bite was not as good today as it was Yesterday. I caught 3 small Snook and 6 Bass. I ran into Gibby and it was off for him as well.
