Mission was to find large redfish, something that had been missing around Sarasota Bay. Plenty of rats, but no bulls.
I was determined to find them. I would ignore trout, mackerel, bluefish and pompano. Reds or nothing.
Started out very slow. Did pick up a nice trout on a topwater meant for reds.
When the tide stared flooding, schools of mullet hit the flats. I anchored just off a large school of mullet and began casting a topwater. Wasn't long before it happened. A big red blew up on the plug. It was a welcome reliefe. Added a smaller red and a mullet on a jerk worm.

Nice pic's Gibby, wtg. Now I know the reds are really out there, I just suck at fishing.
"Hey now Partner- that wasn't very nice."
