Re: Sarasota mullet surprise
The second shot is fantastic, particularly with the eye out of the water. Good work with the camera!

Very great pics! What kind of camera are you using? I saw about 200 mullet underneath the floating dock at the St. Pete Grand Prix yesterday.

You are handy with that camera Steve. You told me on a recent outing that the secret to great shots is simple. Tale lots of pictures. Well I have fished with you enough to know don't spend a lot of time with the camera out. You just good.

I've seen that at weedon. I thought they were eating pollen of the surface of the water. There was a lot of dust present
I think I can dance.

Very cool!
Our tradition is that of the first man who snuck away to the creek when the tribe did not really need fish.
Re: Sarasota mullet surprise
Great shots Steve.
Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.

I got some shots like that last year at the Venice Jetties. There were schools of them as far as you could see doing that. Havent seen it before or since then. Nice shots Steve.
Re: Sarasota mullet surprise
Nice shots, they reminded me of seeing mullet do that when I was a kid. Haven't notice that in a while.

Re: Sarasota mullet surprise
This is the weirdest thing! I saw this today at CCC! There were 2 different schools of mullet both doing this right in the same area and then when the schools bumped into each other all hell broke loose and it looked like maybe a dolphin or something ran through them cause they all jumped out of the water in a wave. I wished I had a video camera or even just a camera. I took a few pictures on my blackberry but they came out pretty crappy
