He so wanted me to drag it in the boat so he could attack it.

Our fearless leader put on a clinic today. Fifty something is the new 30! Had the fish boat side in 15 minutes. I hooked up to his boat to give him a tow to resuscitate the fish and she swam away strong.
Very few groans out of Rik and, get this Jay, NO PUKING!
Congratulations Rik.

I took these pictures of Rik's little adventure. The pictures are mine, but the commentary comes directly from Barnacle.

"What the hell is that?"
Image

"Where the hell did that thing go?"
Image

"Bring it to me and I'll get it."
Image

"If you don't get it to the boat soon, I am going in after it."
Image

"Are we winning or is it winning?
Image

"That's it...hit it with the rod."
Image

"I don't know about you, but I am getting tired and stop making those awful groaning sounds."
Image

"What the hell...is that a bobber...don't tell me you were fishing with live bait."
Image

"Holy shit! That thing is BIG."
Image

"Nice work...glad I could help."

Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.

Have to give Dave a few 'atta boys' for his assistance. Always nice to have someone shadowing you and helping with the fish at boat side

Never had to put out the drift chute on this one. Landed it within 100 yards of hooking it. However that also meant that I never got the good sleigh ride. It was content with going down and slugging it out from the bottom. It was almost right under me most of the fight. The constant heavy pressure had me almost wishing I had 20 pound leader instead of 60 at about 10 minutes in.

It was a very impressive jumper which may have helped me land it in 15 minutes. Or it could be that I'm just a stud.
