Doug and I made the trip over the the Indian River for the Indian River Paddle Classic on Sept 24th. We launched early Saturday morning finding that we had to paddle through a maze of Gators and Manatees for about 2 miles. SKETCHY!. Never seen so many Manatees. Ridiculous! We got to an area where we thought we could get set up and get on some Reds and it didn't take long before the rods were getting bent. We had a great time catching Reds but had to leave them to find some Trout. No luck on finding any trout. I took home 1st place largest Redfish and Doug took home 2nd. This was a great event. I will be attending again in 2012.
