Crack 300 reels

Post by Phnd »

I'm in need of a handle for a Crack 300, either complete or knob and pin. If anyone has contact me please.
Thanks

I have to ask Phil, WTF is a Crack 300? Sounds like a drug.

I thought the name was odd also when I first saw them. Actually it's an old French made reel. Its a tough one too. Here's a link to a couple pictures.

If you have interest in the history, the ORCA site (old reel collectors association) would be the place to get it. The cost for info is small, something like a dime per page. Here's a short version. For all I know its the long version!

Is it a large or small reel and do you use it or just look at it now and then

It's a No. 3L.A if that tells you what size it is.

I did spool it up a few years ago and used it a few times. Needs a rework on the drag as it's not very smooth.
