I took my first kayak ride out ever. I have been out in canoes and such but never a kayak. I was so anxious. Turns out I fell in love with it. I went out to Fort Desoto this morning and had a blast. I caught a nice redfish for the fryer and had a ton of fun along the way. The only thing that bothers me is that redfish is like 2 ft and I make it look small.
Fort Desoto this morning.
Re: Fort Desoto this morning.
got to learn to hold the fish really close to the camera like the other guys on here do....and it wasn't a 2 ft fish....it was clearly 34"+
BTW congrats all around. I have only gone in canoes never a yak myself.

First trip in your new kayak and you stole from the fish Gods?

Nicely done! I must warn you--be careful--this kayak fishing can be very addictive. I just started a little less that a year ago and I find myself spending every free minute I have out on the water fishing from my kayak!
