Metalfab's Super Bed Extender - Update

Post by Rik »

I recently received a new bed extender from Metaalfab, a PFTS sponsor. Walt "EZYLYF" Ruda cooked up a design that puts all the other extenders in a distant second place.

The bar from the hitch is steel and the upper part is aluminum. This extender weighs half of what the others weigh. The angled design, still adjustable for height, means I'll no longer back into parking lot tire blocks, drag it on the ground coming out of parking lots or rearrange stuff in my garage when I back in.

The crossbar can be set for one kayak or two as the arms extend out with a simple design using two pins.

This thoughtful and sturdy design also includes lights at the end of the crossbar. This same end plate has tie down loops.

Topped off with a black powder coat finish, this bed extender is top notch! Thanks to Walt and the team at Metalfab in beautiful San Antonio, FL!

TRK - crossbar is 54" from end of truck bed (33" from end of tailgate but that is specific to my tail gate). That is with the extender full extended.

Very - very nice job Walt!!!
After seeing the pic of the wiring, do the lights on the crossbar blink when using your turn signals and indicate when you are braking? I'm guessing they do because the necessary wires are all there.
Again... Very nice!!!
