Ended the year with my year's best

DaveR, Uncle Tommy and I headed out early in search of sea monsters. Of course, we went to the magical and mystical Cow Creek. It was a multi species trip with snook, redfish, lady fish, remora, jack, large mouth bass, tilapia and gar caught among the 3 of us.
I only caught one fish on the trip (well, two if you count the remora stuck on it) and it was my best snook in years at 41 inches.
I have to thank Dave for the assist. The snook went straight for some deadfall and wrapped the line. I was fighting with the line straight up and down not knowing where the fish was. Dave was trying to figure our the wrap when, after much back and forth, she finally got tired and her tail came up alongside. Landed her by the tail with the line still wrapped around a log.
The Gods of Cow Creek gave me a going away gift.
