Interesting but I think, like most adjustable things, you'd find the one position you like and leave it at that.
Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley

Seems like it would be one more thing to go wrong. I would stick with solid. There's probably a niche market out there - traveling case too small, won't fit in car/truck...but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it.

Aircraft Grade aluminum. Only supposed to add 2 oz. to the total weight.

Lets say you had some rods made, and they were too short. This is an easy way to fix that.


Todd, I remember when stake out poles were called a "Gimmick".

2 oz? How much does a typical graphite rod weigh? People spend $700 for a freaking rod because of weight.

Don't you remember when Capt Dick came out with his stakeout pole, everyone said it was way too expensive? I cant count the number of stakeout pole manufactures there are now.

Yes it seems "Gimmicky", but there might someone who is interested. Just because you don't like it, doesn't make it a "gimmick" does it?

I still use PVC and like cork grips. Damn I am getting old.
