Paddle-Fishing.com

I recently picked up a fly rod (9', 8 weight), the first step toward my goal of fly fishing from a kayak. Still need to get a reel and line, and have been checking the usual online sites for something used, but no luck yet. Just wondering if any of the legendary masters of the long rod here on P-F.com (John, Dave R, Noles, Chris R, etc...) might have something old kicking around in a closet that they would consider selling to a rookie on a limited budget. If so, at least I'd know that I'm buying something suited to our area waters and fish, from somebody I can trust (and something that might come with some residual mojo to boot!).

If I had one I'd be happy to. I just have two. An Old Florida and an Orvis. Love em to death. Good luck on your quest and I hope you are able to get on the water soon enough. Nothing like sight casting to reds and snook!

Sage 1880 is what I have its cheap but solid and the drag will handle all you'll catch around here.
