I've always used PP, but spooled up a reel with TL, a few months ago and I can't say I've noticed any advantages over PP, other than price.
They both perform equally well.

I might be spreading rumors, but...Tuf Line and Power Pro are made in the same factory. Pretty much if not, the same thing with a different label. Calcutta Braid is also Power Pro (and they aren't ashamed to even put "Made by Power Pro" on their package).
I use power pro and got my first wind knot in about 8 months last weekend (it was new line). New line supposively gets the wind knots as you break it in...

the other week on one of the fishing shows they compaired all the braided lines they said that all the braided lines where made in one of two factories. they also put loads on the line to see where it would break and all the lines broke at about 50 % higher then what they where rated for
(20lb broke at 30lb)
I use power pro but after seeing that report I will try tuff-line next
