Inexpensive rod I like and use is the Dogfish Signature Series 7'Stik. They are 90 bucks. I think Jesse, ( redfish) is selling a used one for $70.

Kind of a slow day but while checking out a very shallow cove area and just fan casting the perimeter, my topwater got crushed. Being in less than a foot of water is what made this one so special, total meyhem. The sound that this 30"snook made on the strike was awesome..You know the sound!! ht...

Rules were fine the way they were IMO. 90 inches of Redfish deserves to win the cash any day of the week compared to 2/3 of slam. Ask yourself which angler really had the better day?
If you say 2/3rds of a slam you would be wrong

Of course, just my 2 cents
