Sharon, you are right I did leave out what i caught them on. I had used one lure and one lure only the entire day...Mirrodine At one point during the day; one of the Jacks i caught bent the split ring in the front of the lure and I lost the hook. I tied on another Mirrodine and kept right on fishing...

I recently retired my old neoprene's they served my well, may they rest in peace. The neoprenes are heavy and cumbersome in a kayak, they can also be hot. I bought a pair of Orvis breathables and have been using them for the past month, I love them! wish I had gotten then sooner, very comfortable, e...

I was up at 6am today as I was to meet a friend and do some fishing in the Dunedin area. Stepping outside I was greeted by a stiff blowing breeze, OK, I still have time let’s wait it out and see if it dies down. By 7:00 the wind had even picked up so I made a phone call after several minutes of co...

It was tough out there yesterday, hit the outflow but they haven't been pumping, water was cold and we had to work for what trout we did find.

While my fishing partner can drift and spend his time fishing, I'm drifting and constantly having to use my paddle to correct my drift (takes away from time better spent fishing) As for l...
