It's very steady. Mine's actually on the grass on an area that's not very flat with a kayak on it. I've watched it with all the wind that has come through the last couple of fronts and it's not unstable at all on there. Thanks Dave. Can this be used as a permanent stand, or just for rigging/washing...

We have tarpon year round in Tampa (you just have to know where to look when it gets cold). People were still catching them at the Skyway and Egmont until Nov- Dec last year before the fish all moved to their to secret hiding sports.
