Re: Redbone rods
I had one that broke, it was replaced. Has lasted for years. I learned how to make rods from Mudhole and now just make one after I give away the previous one. Also had good luck with ugli sticks. HArd to beat for the price.

help!! reel got dunked
Long story short, went kayak fishing with a friend. It was his first time. Flipped kayak, the reel, a gander gst40f, completely submerged. I no longer have the box, been a few years. I rinsed it with fresh water but could not take it apart till today. It has been about a week. It feels ok for the mo...

I think the story of Rik searching for another man's lost Wang is a story deserving of telling.

Re: about to mount scotty flush mouont in cockpit of t 140
The deed is done. I cot the hole a little smaller than the through tehe kayak mount and used a dowel rod with sandpaper attached to it to enlarge the hole for a tight fit. Looks great, seems very sturdy with cutting board modified backing plate. John

about to mount scotty flush mount in cockpit of t 140
I did not like the slidetrax RAM mount in the cockpit area. It was to far forward to reach when it was out of the way of the paddle. I am about to drill holes for the scotty flush mount. I will be using an extension that is 4 to 6 inches long. Question, just in front of the cup holder or farther up ...

Re: ozello crystal river area tomorrow
Tere was no place out of the wind completely. caught a few trout, just short of keepers. My buddy got a couple of rat reds and a sheepshead aboout 14". The wind chill was unexpected. Will be getting booties, the tennis shoes with socks got old quick. However, the new rod was sweet, especially s...

Re: Bed extender
I found mine when they were having a sell, so I guess you could make one out of Schedule 80 PVC, 1 1/2" will fit a 2" reciever. It is plenty strong enough to support a kayak. Then just drill a hole thru the PVC that matched the reciever pin receptacle. Really need to go back from tailgate ...

If you can't get to the inside and want absolute security, you can use aircraft rivets like this http://topkayaker.net/topkayakershop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=947&zenid=r8t5doc9ie08nkm0ldfuhf6do7" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and polace a dab of...

Re: 8' fiberglass rods any good?
I use a 3.00 piece of PVC, so If you want a fiberglass rod, that would be a good deal for you. PVC is light, if you plug the ends it floats, easy to put a T on for a handle. John
