I second the Wulff triangle taper. I have a 9wt triangle taper on my 8 wt rod for windy days when I'm determined to use fly. Otherwise SA shark skin 8wt on the same rod in normal conditions.

I use a daiwa reel with mono for my topwater & plugs. I forget the exact model but its the one with the "twitchin stick", theres a little lever just above the spool and when pressed draws about 5-6" of line. I can walk the dog one handed if i wanted.

Walmart sells little led lanterns (in sporting goods by camping) for $3-5 depending on if there on sale or not. I epoxied one of these to my rocket launcher/rod holder, works great and seem to hold up pretty well for being so cheap, I replace the top part about every 6 months to a year and leave the...

I used to work in civil engineering as a cadd tech. I was ordered to put in these "turnarounds" in various places (although without painting lines :roll: ). Most likely they are planning for future development to the main road there. Other times we added them in tight parking lots to allow...

I get out to work an area without splashing a paddle around. It also helps stretch after sitting for long periods.

Strike King glass minnow. Very soft for ALOT of action, but nearly indestructible.
