The no see um's have been pretty disgusting lately too! Early early morning is the only way to go. I have been fishing a little after four AM... Seems to be a good time.

I'm hooked on the top water now..... I think early in the AM it's the only way to go.... I caught a few trout this AM but wasn't there for that.... This one's for BigFish171.... I finally had my camera ready for a real fish Dave at about 4:45 AM ....Now if I only had a dang ruler but she was pretty....

Over all I would say this is just awesome! This is where th term "Salt Life" comes into play!

Thanks everyone for making this a blast today! Had a great time and am glad I got to fish with some good anglers today. I even got 3rd place red woo hoo! Joe thanks for letting me borrow the board. I left it with Big Fish so the next time you run across him he'll have it.

Should I go with ribbed..... Or glow in the dark....

Maybe I should use a rubber mouse stuffed with hamburger..... Sounds like a winning combo to me

No worries there! Phillipi Creek is next to were I live it's no where near the area we'll be in. I'm way away from the tourney areas. I just want to get a feel for the action with the weedless rigs.

:-B I'm thinking 3" DOA ShadTail Rootbeer Color. With a #3 , 1/8 Oz weedless rig that Big Fish turned me on to or a 1/8 oz jig head I'm testing the two out Wednesday to decide..... But if it's calm out no extreme weather ( like this never ending rain today ) I might surprise my buddies and toss...
