Re: Crystal River
Chrystal River is a pretty long paddle to the mouth if the tide is not right. Its good red and trout fishing at times but its north of the snook range. Lots of oyster beds, grass islands and lime rock bottom. If your kayak fishing I would suggest launching a little south of there at Ozello. There is...

Pig farms
Wow, take a look at where our pork comes from. http://motherboard.vice.com/read/drone-factory-farm-pig-feces-lakes" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Makes me think about tree huggers who say hunting wild game for the table is inhumane, and then go to the supermarket to buy the...

Re: Safety

After thinking about how useless a vest stored down below or strapped to the bow would be if I got separated, I went to the inflatable and just wear it all the time. The leash on my ankl...

Re: MirroDine magic
Would seem to me that video of netters untying illegal nets along with their boat numbers would be evidence enough for arrest and conviction. Of course you risk confrontation if they see you taking pictures, but if your talking on your cell phone while the camera is facing their direction....? Or......

Re: Camping condiments.
I've never liked taking up beer space in the cooler with half empty jars and then getting out in the middle of nowhere and realizing I forgot Grey Poupon. I ordered an assortment of everything I've ever used on a camping trip that filled a one gallon zip lock bag for $23 including shipping. Should b...

Feeding the Homeless
Read this story about Arnold Abbott, a 90 year old man arrested twice in Ft. Lauderdale for feeding homeless people. He started a culinary school and charity called "Love Thy Neighbor" that serves homeless people hot meals 7 days a week and also teaches them culinary skills so they can fin...
