Re: Native Ultimate 16

The 16 can be paddled solo but you need a cooler or some kind of weight up front. http://www.lwnog.com/forum/index.php Thats the Native owner's forum, thats the best place for the question imo.

I use the revo inshore reels. I replaced all of my daiwa coastal reels after I tried the revo. there is a price difference though.

The inshore doesn't have magnets thats a good thing for saltwater imo.

How do you keep your hooks looking so new? Most of my red hooks have turned silver. Also not a spot of corrosion anywhere on your lures? Have a secret?

Tilapia are easy on the bed. Use a turd fly. Bill at Bill Jackson's tied some for me. Its a brown thingy on a small hook lol, fuzzy pipe cleaner looking. I found black works the best. If I can find one ill take a pic. I just drop them on the bed and the fish picks it up and spits it off their nest, ...

http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Remove-A-Fishing-Hook-Using-Fishing-line/ Has a vid on that site. The technique is pretty much impossible to do without a friend doing the pulling. Ive also heard you have to do it as soon as possible as the wound will swell around the hole and the barb making...

I encountered the front seat issue last trip. But I noticed it was because it was behind the rail directly against the boat. It looks like there is a groove on the rail that it should slide in better but its a pain to get in it.

I use the higher tab one but I dont think it matters. You really dont even have to strap it in solo, the rear thwart bar will stop you from moving back and I actually like being able to slide forward.

I grew up hunting Pike and musky but Ive never got that 45" musky, so that is a dream. But its also something I will probably have a chance at later. Two years ago my best friend and myself went to Quetico national park in Canada for week of back country paddling. It was amazing, that is actual...
