Beer Batter Pizza Crust Fish is great.

My son found we had forgot the flour on a fishing trip so he tried the pizza crust mix. Use with milk for a thicker mix.
It is now a favorite.

Re: Lion Fish: Have you caught any?

That's what I hear they can't be gotten rid of. We just need to develop a market for them.

My daughter had a little saltwater catfish put a barb right through her finger while they were getting bait. Four hours in the Emergency Dept. and antibiotics. Ouch!!!

Rod testing in the store isle is important.

You will often see people testing rods in the sporting goods isles.
There are some things you can look for.

Deep hooked fish can be released.

I have found if the line is cut close the fish will dissolve the hook most of the time.

Snapping Turtle almost got me. LOL

While Bass fishing I snagged into this small snapper. It almost got me and I wanted to lift it into the boat but my wife reminded me how much they smell. We remembered our brother in law showing his V-shaped 3" black and blue bruise on his back from a 12 pound snapper he caught turtle trapping....

Re: Sandbars can be deadly on rivers or the ocean.

No, my daughter lives in Florida and we spend winter there.
It is good to know if someone comes North to visit.
I remember my wife telling of going to Florida as a girl an no one told them about snakes or alligators.

Sandbars can be deadly on rivers or the ocean.

The curl created by the current along the outer edge can break off under your weigt dumping you into deep moving water unexpectedly. I have many case history's of this happening. Also on the Mississippi River true stories of people walking on huge sandbars having the bar between them and shore sink ...

Low Head Dams are very dangerous for fishermen and boaters.

Whether you are fishing, swimming, tubing, kayak or canoeing these dams can take your life. Don't walk out on the top or the lip fishing. Don't try to run them with a boat, we had three guys that did it twice for fun and the third time didn't make it. All drown. My Brother in law helped get a couple...

Lion Fish: Have you caught any?

The invasive Lion Fish are here to stay. Hopefully they will not be as bad as feared. It is pretty well accepted all we can do is keep the numbers in check and hope that there is a fish that will eat them or the price at the fish market is right that they become a viable resource for commercial fish...

Does this mess tic you off?

Kayaker's are some of the best at cleaning up the environment. This really made me mad when I saw this mess. I picked up all the line but would have had to had a garbage can for the rest. Good thing I didn't see who did this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aw0g6Mk13c4" onclick="window.ope...

Alligator Photo's I took single frames from video. Location:

I took this on 700x at about 100 yards. Video Camera: Panasonic 3MOS Editing Equip: Sony Vegas Movie Studio 12: I took the better still frames from the video and mixed some video with them and text in SVMS12. Video was taken off a single leg camera stick as I didn't have my tripod along. https://www...
