Re: Okuma customer service
Trust me, even after 45 years of fly fishing I can tie the most beautiful knot in a fly line and wrap it around anything without even trying.

Re: Okuma customer service
Reference to the line under the star drag, If you are right handed and have the reel set up to reel from the left this won't be a problem

Kayak launch
Does anyone know if you can launch a kayak on Pine Island at Bayport, so I can paddle to Chassahowitzka. I know you can launch at the boat ramp on Bayport but Pine Island would save a good bit of time. Thanks

Wearable PFD
Does anyone have an opinion on the best wearable PFD? I seem to be spending more and more time alone both in the Kayak and my Gheenoe, so I feel wearing one especially at speed in the Gheenoe makes a lot of sense. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Would like to not make a mistake and have to end...

Replacing Foam grips
I have two Star rods that are starting to show their age and would like to replace the grips. Can anyone give me some advise on getting the foam and the reel seat off and where I can buy some new cork rings to make my new grips.

Fit Overs
Bought a pair of Fit Overs from West Marine in St Pete and seem to be very well built. I have progressive lenses in my regular glasses and with these fir overs, my eye strain is gone and the quality of the lenses seem to be very good. Not the most sylish but never had a fish complain! :P
