Re: PFCS #1 Winning Format

Anna Maria Island

About 4 weeks ago I got the chance to go fishing and ended up with 5 redfish, 2 snook, several sea trout, and the ever present jack, couple ladyfish, and some catfish. So i was able to catch to the regular slam and a trash can slam. Most of the fish were caught using a doa jerk shad and doa shad tai...

Offshore kayaking off Pompano 3/4/12

Headed off Pompano Beach on Saturday and it was windy. Most of the waves were 3 to 4 ft with some 6 fters thrown in. Thats what the depth finder read anyway(difference from bottom of wave to top of wave). Dwig and I made it out to 220ft and drifted really fast. I ended up catching one bonita that wa...

Re: Redbone rods

I had one heavy red bone break on me and got it replaced not a problem, but I was a little wary about using the new one so I sold it. On the flip side i have a heavier flats redbone rod and can only say good about it and it has done very well. On that heavier flats rod I caught this black drum from ...

Re: Caught a SKUNK!

I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but i did end up with 3 reds during the PFTS tournament on saturday out of fort desoto and through out that morning d. wig and i saw at least 30 tailing reds in little groups of 2 or 3. I spooked countless reds and i lost one other fish where the hook...

Re: 12/23/11 Joe's Island

It nice to have some time to get out on the water again. Between work slowing down and then getting a new job and buying a house that needed a lot of work i haven't been able to find much time to fish let alone get online.

12/31/11 Venice

Made it down to Venice to bring in the New Year casting to snook around the lighted docks. Had tons of follows but I was only able to get one to leader on the fly rod. Several hooks pulled and i did break one off. Normally that would annoy me but that was the first fish I have broken off on a fly th...

12/26/11 Pine Island Sound

I didn't got out on the water until later in the morning and ended up with about 17 trout up to 22". A few of which I caught on the fly rod. I did end up seeing one redfish tail but as I was getting within casting distance I spooked some of his friends that were closer to me than he was which i...

12/24/11 Joe's Island

Went out again the next day with a different friend and I ended up catching 2 reds 19 1/2" and 23" and 3 flounders. My friend didn't do as well, his day started out with the first time getting out of a kayak when we were about to start wadding and ended up face first in the water and he ha...

Those are some great photos, I'm just happy to see tails when I'm fishing, let alone to get a picture like that.
