Hard body lures are way exspensive...But are prolly best for those Fish of a Lifetime catches which would make them priceless.

I'm a jig and jerk bait man myself and have been known to wear out my arms throwing a spoon.

Hard baits cost more because of the finishes on them the better the finish the more money it cost. They should leave the fancy paint off and go with solids like red and white, Bone, Black and white, Silver, etc and sell them for 2 bucks each..I'd even put my own hooks on them for that money as long as the mount screws were there.

I wonder if I could by Blanks?
I think I can dance.

I would not pay $40 for a topwater plug when you can buy one for $7 that would do the same thing. It is not the plug that catches fish, it is the fisherman being in the right place at the right time. You can throw that $40 plug or a $7 plug in a swimming pool and you still won't catch anything.

Also depends on what you are fishing for. For our inshore stuff around here I would not spend more than what a Mirrolure She Dog costs. It is not the lure that makes the difference and there are too many things to lose your lures on or to around our waters.

Now I have spent a good chunk of change for lures to take to Costa Rica and Mexico for billfishing. I did that because those fish are a once in a lifetime opportunity and I wanted to make the best of my chances.
