Good thing we have rain

Post by Sundancer »

I guess with the Belleair Beach sewage spill Monday night the rains will help "flush" the area so we don't end up with racing stripes.

I didn't hear about that one.

We were approaching drought conditions around here. The rain is good for refilling the lakes and the aquifers. Sewage spills, even diluted ones are not good.

Lightning is popping here in West Tampa right now. It looks like a real Gullywasher out there.

A stuck valve.

Bacteria can't live that long in salt water. I dare that guy to go gargle some of that water right now.

Channel 8 did a story on the spill last night. The guy they interviewed was asked if there were any health concerns related to the spill.
He stated as long as ya didn't swim in it or fish in it it would not pose a health risk.
I agree the other guy should go take a bath in it. If the citizens reported it late afternoon (5 ish or so pm) what the heck took them so long to close the valve??

Who is this guy trying to kid?
I guess that how long is long is rather Ambiguous.

Ambiguous about the amphibiousness of bacteria. (where is Dayfisher? He needs to weigh in on this topic)

Ambiguous about the amphibiousness of bacteria..
Even more ambiguous is whether or not they are dealing with the amphibiousness of amorphous bacteria..

Can't wait for the Dayfisher response ..I'm sure it'll be classic.

"There were no health consequences or environmental damage," said Phil Bramlage
"Apathetic" was the first word that came to my mind.
As far as the amphibological attributes of the aqueous bacterium, shapeless or not, it's still a 9000gal turd daquiri.
Drink deep, Mr Bramlage. You may not get this chance again since it's
"infrequent" at best (or worst??)
Two words.
Vibrio vulnificus,
While not poopy-bourne, gets the TKO on wimpy raw sewage.
