River penk.

The opening day of our river season was on the 16th june, due to the recent floods we have had over here I have not been on a river yet.

This river is tiny and meandering, with depths to 4ft. it is totally unspoiled as there are only 5 of us allowed to fish it.

Arrived just as the sun was rising, there was a mist coming off the surrounding fields and the wildlife was in full voice.

The river was still a couple of feet above normal summer level and instead of running crystal clear, it had a tinge of color.

Tackle for today was kept to a minimum, on this type of river a stalking approach is needed, often on hands and knees in order to sneak up on your target.

That river is really picturesque, very nice photos. Good job on the fishn' too.
