red action was hot!

Post by fishnfinatic »

My wife and I planned to go out today in search of some reds with artis only. My friend Jim called me Wed. night wanting to go out to get on some fish so I invited him along. We got on the water @9 push poled to the first spot nothing for the first hour. Jim said lets move there is no fish here...I replied there is fish here...wham! Jim hooked up then my wife hooked up. They both caught upper slot reds. After another hour I decided to move since the tide came up pretty high. As we drifted over another area we came across a large school of reds, but very spooky. We were able to get some more upper slot reds mixed in with some rat reds. I decided to finish up the day with some trout action. We got a couple of good size trout from 14"-18" and one that I lost was pushing about 23". In all it was a good day and my wife did an excellent job throwing artis all day.

Those are some nice fish, but, where was the real fisherman of the family that day?
