Afternoon Bite 03/04

Post by DouGR81 »

Rob and I have been hitting the last of the incoming tide the past couple of afternoons and have had great success. The snook have been hitting like it was the middle of summer! I managed to release a 28"er along with several below the slot. Redfish have been scattered, on the shorter side but still pulled in a few to 30". The trout are so thick that we've been catching them under the groves for a change. Soft plastics like Exude, Bass Assassin, and DOA Cal have been the key. The bite is on and should continue to get better as the water temps continue to rise!

Great fish.
OK, I'm a crusty ole guy and thought I know most tricks but do the Kevin Fenn bandanas help you catch more fish?

That explains it then. When you're as old as me you go fishin to get AWAY from them, not attract them.
