The hunt for Red January...

Post by Norm »

Im in that fish321 redfish contest this month. Have to catch a slot red and count the spots. Most spots wins  Anyhow, I figure I didnt get enough of that cold water and wind yesterday and there is suppose to be a front coming in this afternoon late so I might better take advantage of my opportunities. The weather is suppose to go from bad to worse as the week goes on.
I get there after noon time...water is beautiful, sun is shining brilliantly, and Ole Glory is waving in the breeze.

I working the flats looking for my lottery ticket...nothing here. So I go over there...nothing there :? Persistance pays I tell myself. I keep working :!:
Wind is picking up now...Im working the area as I drift back with the wind. This is a lesson for you guys. Don't ever give up...just when you think there is nothing there. You get one of these... notice it is still dripping too 8)

Norman, you dog you.

A riddle for you: What's worse than getting the skunk?

Ha Ha!

You are a funny man, Norm.

But you should PhotoShop out the background. Now we know where you caught those killer reds.

Norm, those pics made my night. Except for the fact that if you're going to be taking pictures while squatting down, you really really really, need longer shorts.

Maybe it's the lack of fish in your hands, but you're really just not pulling off the pose Norm... maybe I'll have to take you fishing and show you how it's done.

This was my attempt at making a skunk abit more interesting. Hope all enjoyed. When the fishing is slow, my mind is always going
I actually did see one small group of slot reds. I was talking to a guy who floated by, he was asking me about my Native. While talking to him I turned back around and the school of about 8-10 fish were coming up on me. Seems they spotted me at the same time and turned and went back in the direction they came from. I hung for abit hoping they would come back by, but no such luck :(

Good one, Norm. You had me ready for a big redfiish, not a big bunch of nut'n, honey.

Nice photo of the flag, though.
