Groomsman Gift

This is the 5th rod Ive built, I built it for for one of my groomsmen.
specs:
Lamiglass XMG-50 8wt blank
Struble aluminum reel seat
american ring lock titanium stripper guides
single foot snake guides
red/black/silver thread scheme (I would have done red/gold, but he is a gator)
grip consisting of burl cork rings cut extra thin, and AAAA cork

I will add some pictures of some of the other rods when I get a chance to take some.

Garnet & Gold would of been the way to go.... :wink: Very nice rod. Could you make the photos a little bigger? Would love to see a close up.

The pictures are showing up bigger now, not sure what happened.

As for the colors, I am going to start building a rod for myself on the same blank in 7wt, and since I have better taste than he does, it will definitely be garnet and gold!

That's a nice looking stick! Those blanks have some really nice coloration to them
