Who takes their dog out with them in the kayak or canoe?

Mademoiselles Barkey & MaLarkey go out with me when I'll let them.

Why - are you planning a Doggy Paddle-In?

But then we got rules and 'other' people and big dogs that like to eat small kayak dogs.

I was thinking Robinson Preserve at a low tide. There's a huge flat out there that can be paddled or walked to.

I keep telling Cody to take his basset "Sage" out. She's pretty laid back and would fit perfectly in the front hatch.

Have it at a park other then a Manatee county park. It is bad enough having Indian wannabees crapping all over the park let alone their dogs as well.

If I didn't know better I'd say you were a 77 year old retiree that wants the gate closed after you got here.

There is also dog beach at Ft. Desoto. Lots of different sized dogs, doesn't seem yo be patrolled much.

I have taken my pup out just paddling but she is terrified of rod and reels since she got a Skitter Walk stuck in her nose. I wish I could take her fishing. I'd love to see her reaction to a fish in the boat.

Gilligan's Island off of Perico on the way to AMI would be perfect. Lots of space for the pups to roam and good fishing nearby.
