3rd Skrimpin Report

Post by Heywood »

Got out tonight with Scott, aka Lineman21. Once again it was windy, but it did die down around 10 pm.

Tonights haul, right at 100. Just about 2 pounds. The shrimp are getting bigger for sure. Scott did well also, I think he might have pulled in just a bit more.

Gandy Bait and Tackle. You don't have to stay out all night to get em. :wheelchair:

But then I would miss the thrill of the chase Kevin.

I ended up with 108, I think yours had a little more size to them than mine. I had a good time for my first time. Next time I need to bring someone with me because at 12 at night that hour and 15 minute drive sucks when your alone and tired.

So, did you end up building your own trap or are you still using a dip net?

I have a trap. No dip net for me, although there were many out there that had them.

Those look pretty natural. How come they dont make lures that look like them?
No, seriously, I guess a lure that color wouldn't be flashy enough to catch a fisherman.

You should organize a Shrimp-Paddle-In.

Who is up for it?
Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley

I'll sign up. I want to know how to catch shrimps. You use that for bait right? How do you keep them alive until morning?
