Baby yellow tail silver grouper.
Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley

That is a Bairdiella chrysoura or common name, "Silver perch". It is a scianedae spp./member of the drum family. We catch them all over the place in our trawls, small and big seines.
Butterfish is Northern Gulf of Mexico vernacular for the species Lei. xanthurus or common name, "Spot", also a scianedae spp.
Hope that helps.

Redfish- "Redbird".
Skipjack- "YikYak".
Pinfish- "Rambo"

Re: Fish ID?
We call them "yellow tails" up here and they are plentiful. They steal more bait than about anything else when fishing with shrimp.
Oh, and they are good on the table.
