The cold weather has settled upon SW Florida and with this change of season comes a change in fishing. With a strong wind blowing out of the northeast and a negative low tide this morning, I decided to fish the deep backcountry in hopes the fish have pushed back there seeking warmer water. I covered around 10 miles today but didn't see as many fish as I expected but it was still a great morning with some quality fish caught..I can't say it enough, how much I enjoy jumping tarpon while bundled up in winter attire.

Great report and great photos like always! I'm hoping to get on some backwater baby tarpon this winter too, what were you throwing at them?
