Wanted to hit the evening low for some action ala bronze back. Got to the launch early and was stuck inside the family truckster for 2 hours and enjoyed a cigar and light show from the heavens. Finally the rain went from the no f'n way am I going out in that shit to well I'm here, looks like it let up a bit. The tide was still a tad high but went out quickly. It seemed the fish didn't want to show. Then the rain stopped. Saw a few cruisers and had one wallop my fly. Pretty good size. Didn't measure but it looked to be close to 30".
Only saw one more mudder but a spooked mullet took a b line for it and they both took a powder.
Can't wait to get back out with the long rod.
. Can't wait to get back on the water in about another month.
