I was invited to see Obama speak tomorrow, but I guess I will join you guys to celebrate Mark instead.
Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.

I would like to thank everyone for coming out to Mark's celebration day yesterday. It really meant alot to me. Sometimes you think that people are your friends. This community of fishing fools that we are feels more like family and I just wanted to say thanks.

By the way. BigRob and I launched at 6am and found that the redfish were just going to hammer the top water lures.

Glad it was a great day, sorry I didn't make it.

Windy, but it was still a nice day. I was so glad to see such a nice turnout in Mark's behalf. Thanks again to Mike for sharing some of Mark's vast lure selection he had accumulated over the years. We all had a chance to take some of him home with us

I'm so glad someone took and posted pics! It was still too soon for me to show up and be anything but a downer. I'm REALLY happy to see so many smiles in Mark's honor. It looks like a good time was had by all!

The morning sunrise from where I was at - having the place to myself gave me time to reflect on my time spent with Mark and what a great guy he was. Fortunately later on I met up with the group and swap out experiences.

Missed you, Sharon. We are going to have to get you back out there soon.

It was a good celebration for a sad event. I hope the kayak fishing community doesn't have to do this again very soon.

On a much lighter note, I am still trying to decide which guy had the best grilled wings. I think I need another taste test. As always with any of the Paddle-Ins, the food was truly outstanding. You guys go above and beyond. We need to remember to provide a "tip pot" to help you cover the cost. It beats the heck out of whatever sandwich that I'd bring.
