Lake Tarpon / Anderson Park
Lake Tarpon / Anderson Park
Looking to do a fresh/salt double-shot this Saturday. Will start at Anderson Park in the morning and then launch from the Dundedin Causeway in the afternoon. It's my first time with Florida freshwater. Anyone have any idea what lures are working this time of year?

High pressure is moving in on Thursday and will last the weekend. Bass will have a headache from it and not be real aggressive. You'll have to put it right on there nose with a finesse bait or hope for the best with a reaction bait which is what I usually do. They say during high pressure they will go deeper.

Many thanks ... I can run with that.

If you can, you might think about reversing the order. Good tides for a morning salt launch, and it would give the freshwater a chance to warm up a bit to spur some more activity. JMHO YMMV.

Thats a good point. I could catch the ellusive Dunedin trout and then take my time at Lake Tarpon.
