I fished the NMZ for a couple hours after work today. Still learning the area but the fishing has been pretty good. I came up empty the first hour or so, but then stumbled on a bunch of happy small tarpon (slow rollers hanging at the surface). Kind of unexpected for February. I broke out the gurgler and quickly put three fish in the air from 5-10 lbs. Got a couple jumps out of each before the fly came flying back at me. I also caught a 20" trout on the gurgler by accident while casting at the tarpon.
I went to head back to the truck when something huge blasted a mullet school way up shallow. I picked up the Skitterwalk, made a cast, and immediately got absolutely smashed. I thought it was a big fish, but I had NO idea how big. Ten minutes and one run in with a 10' alligator later, I brought a massive redfish to the kayak. The cockpit of my T160 is 46" long and this fish had to bend to fit. Serious girth too. If I had to guess, I would say 48" long and upwards of 40lbs. It was about all I could do to hold the fish up for a picture without cradling him. Definitely my largest red to date, and on topwater to boot...

Wow and congrats!
Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.
