S.O.T.E. Destination Page?

Should we have a SOTE destination page?

Yes: New areas to fish would be a benefit to us all.

I think the Destination page should be kept in part. When I first came to this site I used it. I did not use it to find fish, that I can do on my own. I used it as a resource to help me determine if an area was safe or not. There in lies the part I think should be kept about it. List places to launch, list the paddle skill level, and list the safety factor of the area. If there has been a problem with breakins list it. It's kinds like "Paddler beware". I also must add that I think the most people that use it would be someone like myself. I live about 2 hours from everywhere and to drive that distance to look for areas to fish is next to impossible for someone like me. Once I got to know some of the people here on the forum it made it a little easier to talk with people and learn about new areas. If those that want it deleted win out I would suggest that it be included in a members only area, accessible by BACK members only. Could be listed as a benefit for joining the club. With inflation that's my $1's worth.

My $0.02, I have fished the nothern areas for some time and Joined for the fact I was looking for a new ride, Thanks Dayfisher. The Dest. Page as I see it is really nothing more than a list of public parks, some better than others. And no matter what the outcome, people will still use those parks. If a new style page is needed, put it in a members only area. It dose not need a "this hole 203541.5' from that tree" type of feel. but a safe parking area info and what to look out for type of list. I have fished Fort D and Weedon since joining this site. Other than parking and stuff to look out for, the rest has been member given info.

MHO, List parking and safety info for public areas. the rest is learn as yo paddle :)

If you have any sort of rudimentary computer skills you can find all the info you want aboutl the destinations on the destination page very easily.

Just a Question on P-F Geography, Isn't Perico island, Joes island, and Miguel bay south of the Skyway Bridge? Unless I am wrong, they are in the wrong "region".

All this whining about a SOTE destinations page when there are already plenty listed. And don't forget Emerson Point.

A full 25% of the places listed on the destinations page are SOTE.

None of those places are any big secret. Leave it there and add to it when applicable.

After the flak I caught about sharing a county public launch site, the only way someone is going to get any launch information from me is to beat it out of me.
