Day one:
Dave (snukerfreak) and I fished out of the Steinhatchee area on Saturday. We paddled out with a suprising wind but, a beautiful sunrise.
The winds got stronger but, we managed a few reds...
red with "snukerfreak" in the background!
the art of the tail!
Day two:
Dave (snukerfreak), Dave's brother Scott, Roger (snook712), and myself
fished out of the Cedar Key area. We paddled out to a suprising calm day.
It was a beautiful clear day and "snook 712" was the 1st to hook up...(insert "BLAM-O" here)
with assistance from "snukerfreak" "snook712" landed a 3.5' gar! The gar didn't cooperate long enough for a photo but, managed to soak the guys during the release with no one suffering any damage.
We all managed several reds and "snook712" landed this nice red with his secret lure of choice.
It was a great day paddling with good friends.
Oh, and of course the nature (hippy) shot...

Great Day
It was a great day with the boys. I kep telling the the Stike King Redfish Magic was the way to go but no one listened. The redfish couldn't resist it.
I was shocked to catch mr. monster gar in salt water. I have seen a lot in the rivers but none in the bays. Is that common?
By the way, Snookfinatic is a great guide. I highly recommend Captain Jeff to show you the hot spots. Unfortunately, he made me ride all the way there with a black bag over my head.
