My advice is don't fish weedon on a weekend. You will only frustrate yourself.

Hey Mangrove,

Where would you suggest someone to fish on the weekend in the Tampa area? I think I might go out adventuring this weekend.

Cross Bayou, Dookie Creek, and any where behind the KOA at Long Bayou. 4th street can also be isolated but a boat will blow thru your hole just when the fish start biting.

I personally hate weekend fishing and rarely do it...prefering to spend my weekends with a gun.

Ditto on the weekend deal, as the temp comes up the fish isn’t all that comes out of there winter holes.

Ditto Ditto on the weekend... Weeden no way on the weekend. Try tarpon key fort desoto. Cockroach bay, reds and snook all up in the cuts. Go out coachroach, take a left and the flat at the third cut is holding a bunch of big trout. Go before dawn to be there when the sun comes up and you will also beat the rush. Good luck!
Bill
Bait check... white bait....
second live shrimp
third gulp shrimp or grubs white

I don't so much mind all the kayaks it's the parking that kills me..Their customers get the premium spots and you end up hiking a long ass way to and from the water and for us old guys it's just to much.

Plus the launch area is tied up while they load and unload.

Also the park is exploited for their profit, have their customers park at the shop or cut the park off from our tax dollars.
