Go to a plumbing store and get 5 ft of schedule80 PVC, I got 1 1/2" diameter (outside to outside), only because that was the smallest they had when I went.
Drill hole through one end, an inch or so below the end. Make sure the hole is big enough to fit a piece of rope of string through:

After that take a jigsaw and cut the other end at an angle to make a point:

And that's it, ready to go. This type of PVC is much stronger then regular PVC pipe, no need to put anything inside of it.
