Report From the Photographer

Post by paddlefisher »

Geoffsnook and I joined SRQgator down on his home turf, and he was the man, the guide, and a heck of a host. we fished some interesting area, I would have never pegged it as productive, but for a cold day in January it was, most of the fish were caught on various paddle tails in about 3 feet of water.

Here are the pics, taken by the trip photographer (AKA, the guy who only caught one giant sheepshead on a jerk bait).

SRQ hooked up first.

Todd,

Not a fan of the creamsicle Bucs throwback hat, eh? I guess its an an acquired taste. :D There's certainly no mistaking me with someone else with my lime green kayak, and bright orange hat. Kind of a sherbert theme-though unintentional of course.

It looks like you left the price tag on your waders in case you didn't like them and might take them back

You usually send the registration card in, not keep it with the waders... :P

Nice fishies, I to would have liked to have seen the sheepy.
Yes, I can get 20 feet of Pontoon boat equipment on a 16 foot Pontoon boat....

Beautiful scenery around Cow Creek!
Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley

I'll have to tear that card off next time. It looks a little goofy. The sheepshead wasn't captured on film because Jim caught it. He was the camera man for the day. I mean, he is a guide and all. I think he should do more photography and less fishing... :D

Jay instructed us that Cal jigs are the ticket down there. And he was the host.
