Fishing with my son

Post by chuckst1 »

Sunday Feb 3, Noah (7, my oldest boy) and I got a late start even though we were on the water by 8:45 at CRB. We took our time paddling up to our first spot where Noah and I spotted reds tailing. So I pitch out the line and handed him the rod, and before we know it, his line was peeling drag. Noah did a great job handling his quarry and only needed a little help after the red made 3 long runs on him after seeing the boat.
Noah's biggest! ...25.5" fattie Red :D

...and I (not to be outdone LOL!) ended up with a 28.5"

Great weather for a great day of fishing with my son.

Freaking sweet! That lure is no longer named by the manufacturer, it shall forever now be known as "Chuck's Lure".

P.S. Picked up a 28" of my own on the flats Sat. :-D

And across from the bar there's a pile of beer cans
Been there twenty-seven years
Imagine all the heart aches and tears
In twenty-seven years of beer

Very 8) to go fishing with your kids. I was out in the Manatee River Sunday with my son, had a great day. Didn't get anything like those reds, great job.

Way to go, Dad. I spent half my adulthood paddling my sons around and watching them grow up in the front of my canoe. :D
