Skinny water Saturday at the 'Roach

Post by mudfish »

6:30-7 am. Putting in with lots of P-F company including Chuck (TS1) and friend Grouper Doug, Gramps, Alnorito and son, Flatsteeler (and his new baby "White Lightning", sweeet boat! Hope you had a successful maiden voyage), Heywood and his buddy Ken (KPMiggs ).
Was my first time meeting several of you guys, and a pleasure.

Required hippy shot of Chuck n' Doug. Spent most of the day struggling to find water to paddle. With the North wind it was a hell of a low tide for sure.
Image

PATB guys, must have wade fished for miles on the mega-low flats on the way up to Simmons Park. Keep on truckin' dudes.

Chuck catching his 1st snook.

Paddling by the pass just as Heywood and Ken got a double trout hook-up.

Chucks 2nd snook of the day (29" beauty, caught on the way in, around 12:30).

Personally, I managed one 25" fat Red on a DOA jerk bait. Pic pending from Chuck. After several hours of fighting the Northwind while walking a minus low tide, push-paddling, getting rained on twice, it was a nice way to end the day I'd say.

Peace

And across from the bar there's a pile of beer cans
Been there twenty-seven years
Imagine all the heart aches and tears
In twenty-seven years of beer

Sorry I didn't get to see you afterward Scott. We'll find a way to hook up to check out the samples you mentioned. Maybe at the T-BACK meeting on the 21st.

BTW: Luv that midget ultra-lightweight rig you had! :D Did you use it Saturday?
