I have a redbone rod that I never use because I can't get it in the truck. Can it be made into a two peice? If I chopped 6 inches off it would fit but it would change the action to much. Thanks, John

In my opinion Redbones are to stiff anyway. If you cut 6" off it would cast like a broom stick. Cutting it in two would not be practical since you would have to install a ferrule system that may not work effectively.

My suggestion would be to buy a new rod that would fit.

I'm sure a few around here would be willing to take it off of your hands so that you can get a rod that fits...
