NEW YEAR'S DAY FLY SWAP

Post by GILs_GONE_WILD »

NO ... Dirty Dave isn't hosting this one!!! :P

It's called the New Year's Day Swap because that's when they will be due.

Today is November 10th. That will give you almost 7 weeks to tie your fly.

What fly you say!??

Well, it doesn't matter .... this swap is wide open.

Tie whatever you wish. Your favorite freshwater, saltwater, brackish water, sewer water, foam, fur, feather, synthetic, etc, etc, etc.

Swap closed at 12 tyers ... get busy. You need only tie up 11 flies .... you just won't get one of your own back.

GILs_GONE_WILD ...... Foam Disk Slider .... RECEIVED!!!! :D
John ... Red and White Seaducer ... ......... Received
Chief ... Pinfish ... ......... Received
Eloy ... Deceivers ......... Received
Piroque ... Panfish Foam Fly ......... Received
noles .... Poon Wiggler ... ......... Received
dunfly .... Copperhead Schminnow ......... Received
mauso1 ... Ultimate Transformer variation ......... Received
Vercetti ... Something Skrimpy ......... Received
Bob/FLA ... Carbon Spoon Fly ......... Received
skydiver77 ... Carrot Top Shrimp ......... Received
hooknsnook .... clousers name ugly :D more on that later ......... Received

Once you're through tying send the flies to:

Gil Fales
24722 Ravello St.
Land O' Lakes, FL
34639

Don't forget to include a self addressed stamped box or padded envelope so I can return a set of these flies to you.

ALSO, please "toe tag" your fly with your forum name and name of fly.

You can add the recipe if you choose but not necessary. If someone wants the recipe for your fly you can always post it for them here on the forum.

I'm in, if I'm up to scratch with the rest of you guys, I'm not sure which pattern yet, I'd like to wait and see what everyone else is tying and find something different!

Been waiting for the next one!

I'm in if you want me. I've been working on tying EP style flies, how about a Pinfish?

Don't let "New Year's Day" scare you away. I know it's a busy time of year and as most know ... I'm fairly lenient.

These swaps have been some of the best I've participated in to include 5 other sites.

Don't miss out!

Glad to have both of you!

You new tyers/tiers ... don't be bashful ... 4 slots left.

This is where you start. We're a very forgiving bunch. Like I say ... they let me play! ha!! :D
