Not hard to do, the Revo is very stable IMO.

It is somewhat akward. There is not enough room for a wide stance.
It is a stable craft and I can opperate the rudder controls with my left foot.

I can stand in the Revo and the Adventure, but the Outback is easier to stand and cast from, IMHO. ( I use to own an Outback and now have a Revo and Adventure.)

The Hobie Sidekick does provide some nice extra stability. You can even fly cast with those attached.

all great info. thx guys. I used to be able to stand up in my Tarpon 140 not enough to be able to cast or anything but just to stretch.

Terry i did see those Sidekicks, they look appealing.

Do you guys stand on the seat or the hatch between your legs?
Another problem is that i am 6' 215lbs.

I stand on the hatch. I am shorter than you and can find it too tippy for me. But I can still stand and make a cast. Should I hook a fish while standing, I'm in a world of doo-doo.

You may not want to go there...........

I am "able" to flycast standing up in my Hobie with the "sidekick."

The question then becomes --- Can Terry cast her excellent fly casting rod & reel with any precision, even on land? The answer is "doubtful" since Terry has used the fly gear nada in two years and that she is not only blonde and old but she is also lefthanded. The last time I used said fly gear, was wading in the Bahamas and out of sheer, raw LUCK, I caught a nice bonefish.

Any more comments from the losing FSU fans? LOL

Without having tried the Sidekick, I imagine I would have the same trouble with the stance. The hatch cover is small and, after a while, standing becomes uncomfortable.
With the added stability of the pontoons I could see some kind of platform one could place on the gunwals. Hmm.
