My TP140 has couple of cracks around the scupper hole in front of the seat for awhile now, I was just too lazy to take it in for repair. I was going out of town for few days, so I decide to take it to Canoe Country for repair or replace under the warranty. Few days later I get a phone call from Scott(Canoe Country) that Wilderness System was replacing my kayak with the new 2010 TP140.I was ecstatic and couldn't wait to get home to go pickup my new boat. I just want to say thanks to Canoe Country for helping me with my CRACK PROBLEM and Wilderness System for standing behind their warranty.

Here is the new fishing machine..

Now thats the way a warranty should work.

I have a Kazkazi Dorado with a defective hull that deforms under pressure, like when you sit in it and paddle, but the warranty support I got was unacceptable.

I had a similar experience with Canoe Country, and Wilderness Systems. They had me back on the water, in a brand new boat in no time.

Companies that stand behind their product like this are fewer and farther between these days. Wilderness and Canoe Country both deserve a :thumbright:

Kazkazi Dorado, supposedly has a lifetime warranty also, but try and collect. If you are willing to ship it to S. Africa on your dime they will fix it.

Man I am even impressed. I would not have thought any company would replace a 5 year old kayak made out of plastic with a crack in it.....think about it. With the conditions in FL, sun, salt, basic use of the product, I would not expect something made from plastic to last a lifetime. I fully expect for many things that I buy to fail at some point. Some last longer than others. And if in a reasonable amount of time something happened, I would expect it to be repaired not replaced. That is quite impressive. On a side note, I do like the new Tarpon 140 compared to the older models, so enjoy it.

The crack happen little over a year ago and they did repaired it. The repaired only last about a month or two. I just took mytime taking it back for service. I do like the old Tarpon140 better but I do like the new hatches.

Erick's right ... heck, dashboards rarely last longer than 5 years.
